The purpose of this commission is to serve as an advisory body on matters of concern to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and questioning persons (GLBTIQ) across the University community. The commission will ensure that the University’s programs and services are inclusive to GLBTIQ constituents.
In 2013, the KSU Archives joined the Georgia LGBTQ Archives Project, a collaboration of archivists and members of the LGBT community, to raise awareness about the importance of collecting and saving the LGBT history in the state. At the same time, the Archives embarked on an initiative to collect the history of the LGBT community at KSU and in North and Northwest Georgia. Recent acquisitions under this initiative include the Jon C. Greaves Collection, the David Neubecker Collection, the Marietta Theatre in the Square Records, and a series of oral history interviews.

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Questioning and Queer (GLBTIQ) Student Resource Center’s mission is to provide a safe, supportive and inclusive space where students of all gender identities, gender expressions and sexual orientations can come to receive support, resources and referrals in order to aid in the realization of their fullest potential as students, individuals, leaders, community members and advocates.
This scholarship will provide financial assistance to a full or part time student, undergraduate or graduate, who has worked to enhance the lives of lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender individuals through active involvement in on or off campus LGBT advocacy organizations.
Safe Space is a Kennesaw State University campus-wide initiative that offers a visible message of inclusion, acceptance, and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals. KSU's goal is to have lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students, faculty, and staff feel comfortable on campus so that they can perform at their highest level.
The Stonewall housing community is a gender inclusive housing community specifically geared toward students of all sexual orientations, genders, gender identities, and gender expressions who want to live in a community celebrating their various identities and foster understanding, learning, and community.
This group is meant to provide a space for KSU's LGBTQ Alumni to stay in touch and to foster the development of an official LGBTQ Affinity Group at Kennesaw State.
