Our Charge: Working Together Toward Positive Change

Kennesaw State is fortunate to have an authentically diverse community of students, faculty, and staff. Our many backgrounds and perspectives, which strengthen our university, serve as a foundation for how we collectively address the racial challenges and opportunities for change that are present in a large institution such as ours.

This task force, which is chaired by KSU's Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Sylvia Carey-Butler, is comprised of a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff, who will work with existing structures and newly identified stakeholders to lead KSU toward meaningful change for our community and beyond. The task force will seek extensive information and data through a broad array of listening sessions to ensure that we include perspectives from across our two campuses. The taskforce will meet on a regular basis and will keep the campus community updated on their progress and provide leadership with a final report at the end of the fall semester.
